About

Advanced ScrumMaster

Course Overview
Many ScrumMasters are discovering their best intentions are not enough to implement agile methods in the workplace. Although armed with certified training, they run into several real-world problems that prevent real results. These include challenges such as:
  • We never complete all the work in a sprint
  • We have too much testing at the end of the sprint
  • Our estimates are wrong
  • Our Product owner is not attending meetings
  • Our Stand ups take forever
  • Not enough developers, testers, or analysts
  • We are dependent on non-Agile teams
  • We are working on too many other projects at the same time
  • Our team argues over everything, forcing a managment decision
This intense 1-day seminar will attack these organization issues directly. The agenda will be tailored to meet the immediate needs of those attending, generating pointed and actionable advice. Whether learning best practices or situation-specific solutions, trainees will be offered the chance to improve both hard skills and soft skills, in order to become effective project leaders.
Course Format
Advanced ScrumMaster featurs a blend of guided discussions and interactive exercises. The session format creates a unique opportunity to get both practical input from your peers, and world-class coaching from a Certified Scrum Trainer or Coach.  Whether a newly certified ScrumMaster or an aspiring agile coach, you will get expert guidance on topics that impact your teams right now.

Audience & PreRequisites
This is an advanced course for experienced agile practioners. The curriculum assumes trainees already have the basic Scrum knowledge covered in a Scrum Alliance authorized training program, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or Certified Scrum Developer (CSD).

Although this course does not result directly in certification, trainees will receive a bonus value. Those participants who are already CSM, CSPO, or CSD certification holders will be given guidance and feedback on applying for the advanced Certified Scrum Professional designation.
